“It was time for a new toaster.”

“I’m so glad you burned the toast last week,” said Mother Bear. She held a perfectly toasted slice, dripping with honey butter, under Bungle Bear’s nose. In the other hand, she held a shiny new silver toaster.

“This one has a no-burnt-toast setting,” said Mother Bear. “It was time for a new toaster.”

“Great!” said Bungle Bear.

“My cubs just loved Bearpaw Meadows!”

At school, Teacher Bear stopped Bungle Bear in the hall.

“My cubs just loved Bearpaw Meadows. The fishing was the best! Thanks for turning in your assignment early. We had planned to go to Bearland, but this was much more fun!”

“Great!” said Bungle Bear.

On the way home, Matilda Bear waved to Bungle Bear on his bike.
